Mobile food delivery concept

A concept for a mobile food-delivery experience focused on helping users browse the menu, understand dishes and move from discovery to checkout through a clear, consistent flow.

Concept & challenge

The project explores a complete food-ordering journey: browsing categories, evaluating dishes, adding items to the cart and placing an order. The goal was to create a visually expressive interface without making the core actions harder to find.

Benchmarking

I compared how established food-delivery products organise categories, product cards, promotions and checkout. The focus was not on copying individual screens, but on identifying familiar patterns that reduce effort while browsing a large menu.

Key direction: keep navigation and ordering patterns familiar, then use typography, colour and imagery to give the concept its own visual identity.

Customer Journey Map

The journey map covers the flow from opening the app to receiving an order. It helped connect user expectations, friction points and design responses across discovery, product selection, cart and checkout.

The main design priorities were clear menu navigation, understandable product information, visible cart feedback and a checkout flow with as few uncertain steps as possible.

Wireframes

Wireframes define the core mobile journey before visual styling: menu discovery, category browsing, product evaluation and checkout. At this stage the focus was information hierarchy, navigation and the placement of primary actions.

The wireframes established a consistent bottom navigation, scannable product cards and a clear transition from choosing a dish to confirming the order.

Visual direction

The moodboard combines warm food photography with high-contrast editorial typography and a restrained orange accent. The direction is expressive enough to feel memorable while keeping product information and actions easy to scan.

Final interface

The final screens apply the visual direction to the complete ordering flow. The interface uses expressive imagery and typography while keeping categories, product details, cart state and checkout actions consistent across the experience.

Concept outcome

The project resulted in a coherent mobile flow covering discovery, product selection and ordering. As a concept, it demonstrates the complete design process rather than validated business impact.
